Adding Redirects to Child Topic Pages

Adding Redirects to the New Child Topic Pages

Child Topic pages can be linked to multiple Journeys, in order to do this, we need to create an internal redirect.

  • Select your New Child Topic Page
  • Within the Settings Open, the Basic Tab
  • Under the URL redirection field, Select Manage Redirects

In the Alternative URL Direction section

  • Select the Radio Button: Allow alternative URLs for this content node
  • In the URL box, Add the URL of that Journey Number /Parent topic plus the URL title of the new page

In this example, we want this new page MG Healthy Drinks to sit under Journey One AND the Food & Drink topic

  • e.g., journey-one/food-drink/mg-healthy-drinks
  • Select No Redirection from the drop-down list
  • And Publish

To Add this New Page as a Redirect to More Journeys

Select the + Add Alternative URL and repeat the steps above but ensure you change the URL of the journey. Add alternative URLs for as many journeys as you wish this new page to display under

e.g.

journey-one/food-drink/mg-healthy-drinks

journey-two/food-drink/mg-healthy-drinks

journey-three/food-drink/mg-healthy-drinks

journey-four/food-drink/mg-healthy-drinks

Example Child Topic Page with Redirects to All Journeys > Healthier Eating

The Healthier Eating page link is available on All 4 User Journeys under the Food & Drink topic because a URL redirect has been added for each of the 4 journeys.

NOTE: The URL Redirect will take a few minutes to become available

If a redirect is not added and a user clicks on the new page in the journey list, they will receive a 404 page not found
