Support Service Key Features

 

  • Modern, Mobile-Enabled Themed Websites - 1 or 2 websites will be made available to you upon request: One English language &/or One Welsh language site. This will assist users in meeting the Welsh Language Standards Act
  • Specialist Skills & Expertise - The CMS Support Team are available to provide operational & user support, hosting, maintenance, and enhancements of the system.
  • Regular Software Releases - The Release Schedule is published on the support site, these releases consist of regular updates to the core system and the introduction of new features.
  • Annual Penetration & Vulnerability Testing - Testing of the core product will take place annually, this will be undertaken by the DHCW Security Team.
  • Yearly Accessibility Audit - It is now a legal requirement for your website to comply with enhanced accessibility standards. Yearly audits of the core product will take place against these standards.
  • Training & Learning - Training materials are available through e-learning on this support site by way of an Introduction AreaText Guides, Images, VideosUser Guides & Best Practice documents.
  • Google API for Language Translation Welsh Translation is available within the CMS, automating an initial translation of webpages from English into Welsh. This is placed in a draft state ready for a final sense-check before publishing.

 

Website Owners' Responsibilities

 

  • Creating & Maintaining Content - The site owner will be responsible for the creation & maintenance of all website content and to ensure it is accurate, accessible, and adheres to any standards e.g. Welsh Language and Accessibility Standards.
  • Appropriate Notices - The site owner must ensure the website has the appropriate notices, and that they are accurate & maintained e.g., Accessibility Statement, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Freedom of Information, etc.
  • Go Live Requests - Raise a request with the CMS Support Team when the website is ready to go live
  • Change of Admins - If there is a change in the main site administrator contact details please log a call with the CMS Support Team so we can keep our records up to date.
  • Maintaining User Accounts - Once the site has been handed over to the site owner it will then be the owners' responsibility to create/maintain any further staff user accounts required. User Accounts, User Groups
  • Report Issues - Report any issues with the website that are not under your control to fix, and the Support Team will investigate
  • Notify the Support Team - Should your website be compromised in any way, log a call to the CMS Support Team
  • Leaving Us? - Should you wish to leave the Service Agreement & close down your website please log a call to the CMS Support Team.
