Frontend Editing

A Small Update has been made to the Frontend Editing
This Change Reflects a Name Change & Slight Functionality Update

When users select the Pencil Icon within the Editors Toolbar 3 options become available. These options have now had a slight name change.

• Inline Edit - Has now become - Edit Layout
• Full Edit - Has now become - Edit Content
• Delete - Has remained the same

Edit Layout - Functionality

 

When Admins/Editors select Edit Layout (Prev Inline Edit) they will see no change in the behaviour of this function. The Display regions will be highlighted and available for real-time (on the fly) edits and the site Plugins will appear on the right-hand side of the screen; available to drag & drop to the page. Some new plugins will also be available here, these have been added with the new system upgrade.

Edit Content - Functionality

 

When Admins/Editors select Edit Content (Prev Full Edit) they will see a change in the behaviour of this function. The old behaviour of this page would see the backend of the page open up within the frontend of the page. The new behaviour of this page would see the user flipped directly to the backend of the site, edits to the full page details can then be made and saved. Users will also now see the backend difference the new update has made, page detail Tabs now appear on the right-hand side of the page where previously they had appeared at the top of the page.
