Site Search Terms Report

Now Available within The Dashboard

We recently introduced the ability to record your users’ site search terms. (By default, this new functionality will be set to Disabled. To have this new functionality added to your site/s, admins would need to log a call with the CMS Support Team). This functionality is available within the site Dashboard this will allow you to view Search Phrases/Terms month by month and also give the added option of exporting this data to Excel.

Recording Site Search Terms within the Database

We have recently (01/24) added the ability to record your users’ site search terms. By default, this new functionality will be set to Disabled. To have this new functionality added to your site/s, admins would need to log a call with the CMS Support Team. Once turned on we can then provide the site admin; upon request, a report of the top site search terms per month.

About the Database

We have now built a new area within our Database to record the Terms your users are searching for on your CMS site. This will then allow us to export reports per site in future, to show statistics on your Site Search Terms. These will be recorded against specific sites each month, and we can then produce Excel reports based on months of data.

As this will be recorded and produced on a per-site basis we have added a switch within the site settings to turn this functionality On & Off. When disabled, there will be no logging of entered search terms, when enabled, all search terms from that point onward will be logged.
