Image Size

Each site has a default Image setting for:

  • Small (80x80)
  • Medium (180x180)
  • Large (600xauto)
  • Profile Image (400xauto)
  • Featured Block (320x515)
  • Carousel (628x1506)

These sizes can be changed, but we would strongly recommend the sizes should be set at the design stage and once they are set and images are uploaded, sizes must not be changed.

On uploading an Image all six Image sizes for the Image are created automatically (Small, Medium, Large, Carousel, Featured Block and Profile). This gives the ability to display images with different sizes on the site when using the site plugins.

The dimensions of the original image you upload to your site can have a big impact on how it displays; you may need to resize images before you upload them to your site.  We advise that the Minimum size of the original image that is uploaded should be the Carousel (628px x 1506px) size, so that when the system crops the images to the default sizes, the quality remains.

Images smaller than 1500 pixels may appear blurry or pixelated when they stretch to fill containers, such as Carousels. Images much larger than 1500 pixels may be rejected by the system; depending on the exact pixel count. As Images of this size would not be recommended for use on the web (due to causing page load issues), this would cause a 500 Error message to be generated. The DPI or dot per inch for Images on the web should be 72 dpi.

Note: The site upload limit is 29.5Mb
